Why Now?
Adding the ERA to our state constitution has never been more urgent. Our equal rights, whether it’s LGBTQ+ rights, the right to equal pay, the right to our own bodies, are under attack like never before. By passing the Nevada ERA, we would ensure that Nevadans equal rights will always be protected.
The Nevada Equal Rights Amendment will be on the November 2022 ballot and we need YOUR help to get it passed!
Twenty-six states already have state-level ERAs. Nevada will be next on that list by adding an inclusive, intersectional, ERA to our constitution. But, those who oppose equality will not let this happen without a fight and it’s going to take ALL of us to get it passed.
We have the opportunity to forever change the law in Nevada by amending Article 1 of our Constitution so that it states: “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by this State or any of its political subdivisions on account of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, ancestry or national origin.”
